A bag powder filler must control the bag as well as the powder.

Open bags and pouches move, collapse and vary at the mouth. The support, clamp, nozzle clearance, dust path and transfer to closing should therefore be trialled with the production pack, not specified from fill weight alone.

Measure usable opening, gussets, zipper or valve features and material stiffness.

Support or clamp

Hold the pack at a repeatable height without distorting the seal area.

Dust and settling

Control free fall, outlet cut-off and the time needed before movement or sealing.

Closing transfer

Define how the filled pack reaches the band sealer, heat sealer or next line stage.

Test the complete open-bag cycle.

Include pack presentation, filling, weight checks, settling and closing. Flexible-pack handling can become the dominant cycle even when the auger dose is fast.
